We warmly welcome everyone to the opening of the Miskolc Graphic Triennial on 16 September 2023, starting at 11 am at the Miskolc Gallery! István will present three works!
In 2023, the town of Miskolc will host the twenty-ninth edition of the most outstanding Hungarian event of artistic graphic design, the Miskolc Graphic Triennale, which was organized in 1961 in the form of a biennial and from 2008 on every three years. The Miskolc Gallery is committed to be the central forum and “focus point” of Hungarian graphic art. Our aim, which comes from the respect and love for graphic art, is to present in one space the essence of the works created in the last few years.
We are looking for the most exciting, professionally authentic and qualitatively outstanding expressions of the genre, regardless of generation, form or technique of expression. There is no content restriction: we are giving priority to the individual, creative aspect rather than to a specific theme or catchword.
To present an as complete and up-to-date view as possible, this year’s calling for entries includes a curatorial invitation in addition to the usual open calling, as we consider it of special importance to include not only the outstanding graphic designers who regularly participate in the triennial, but also artists from beyond the borders, young talents, artists working with individual techniques, as well as the latest aspirations and frontiers in graphic design.
